High Blood Pressure at Applebee's

Most of the foods served at Applebee's restaurants are high in sodium. Unless you are visiting the restaurant or dining here in the group, there are hardly any options from the main meals if you wish to keep your blood pressure in check. You can rely on a few salad options though. If lucky, you may find low-sodium ribs as well at the restaurant.

Avoid Green Goddess Wedge at Applebee's. Broccoli Cheese Soup and French Onion Soup contain over 1000mg sodium and hence must be skipped as well. Why, you ask? Coupons.. This is a typical sports, mediocre food, and cheap beer lover kind of joint. It was difficult to find a dish that would not clog my arteries and retain too much water. Guess there isn't as much to say about it than I expected. It's a typical chain, on which Florida seems to thrive. Maybe another visit to get a Drink On with cheap beer.

Based on the reviews I was hesitant about eating here. I guess I was forced... because the rest of my party just wanted to eat here based upon our location to our outing. So into the review. The Fried Pickles where actually very good (I live in Texas and our pickles rock!) so that should say something. Next, I ate the Brisket Melt... it was okay. Can't say I loved it. It satisfies if you're hungry but there is no wow factor. BTW the ranch dressing is without a doubt bottled and nasty. One person wrote the food seems microwaved; as a former chef I utterly AGREE. Lastly, the service for me was very good. Our server was Bridget and she was by far the best part of this visit. So the service must depend upon who you get. Thanks Bridget!

I am sorry to report that this Beef O'Brady's does not match up to the previous ones I have visited. The food is different, meaning I ordered Fried Shrimp and they were awful compared to the ones in Cape Coral. Heavily breaded and very tiny whereas at the others exceptionally good for the type of restaurant. In addition the broccoli was frozen, not fresh, and Chicken Breast was rubbery. Service was fine, a little rushed but eager to please, atmosphere was fine, fries and salads were good as well. We would probably go back for wings but not for the meals we ordered. I would like to know why it is so different than that of the ones in the Cape?

It's amazing that this location stays open. The service is poor. Very slow and they'd rather talk instead of delivering food. The food was okay. My beer had a object floating in it. When I asked for a different beer they brought me one in the same glass. Still had things in it.

I have given this place three chances just because of convenience but each time it was almost inedible. I am positive everything is microwaved. I had a wrap wow meat not sure what it was (said chicken) but I went home and ate dinner. Yeah... Gross.

Horrible horrible SERVICE... Really meaning NONE... Once we got a seat, the server passed us twice, didn't even acknowledge us... Had to walk out after 20 min waiting!!!!

This place is nothing short of fantastic. The food is great, with a diverse menu with many healthy options. The atmosphere is fun, clean and festive. And the service is great. While no one can be perfect, manager Rob Klein and staff were committed to making our visit perfection. The truth is - they did. We all have a lot of options for dining, but I'm coming here every chance I get!

The food was good, service horrible. Ordered an omelette and toast, extra butter for the toast. When the server brought my order, she was grabbing on the phone, set the plate down in front of me, and walked away. As she walked away, still on the phone, I noticed that the toast was dry. Later sh came by and refilled my coffee, still in the phone. I distracted her and asked for butter for the toast. She nodded and walked into the back. I could see her in the back from time to time, still engaged in her conversation. Finally she ended the conversation, and began doing other tasks. She eventually looked out, saw me, and remembered the butter I had asked for. Needless to day, by then the toast was stone cold.

So its just about the only bar in walking distance to where I'm staying so really didn't have a choice. But this place is ok if your looking for beers that are really cheap. Only food I tried were the buffalo wings that desperately lacked buff sauce...With that being said I had an interesting experience. The bartender was nice but was openly flirting/ practically making out with an older married man at the bar. How do I know he's married you ask? Well at first I thought they were a couple and he was visiting her at work then we overheard him talking to his wife on the phone and telling her he was playing pool with the boys and he would be home later. I litterally kept looking over my shoulder to see if the show cheaters was going to barge in the room. Other than that I had some good conversations with the townies ( 40 +) and enjoyed some cheap beer.

A sports bar named....Beef O'Brady's? Someone thought this was a good idea?? Wow....I paid for 3 people's dinners and beers and my total bill was $30?? The local brew, Shamrock, was $.98 each? This IS a good idea. Oh...it's a chain with over 250 locations in the U.S. It's still a stupid name. But my grilled fish was not bad. And they were showing (among other things) a replay of the greatest Super Bowl of my lifetime: Bengals vs. 49ers in '89. They'd have gotten 4 stars if Lewis Billups would have hung on to the damn game-ending interception thrown in his gut.

Used to go to and love Beef O'B's during spring training in Winterhaven (15+ yrs ago). Now that it is a chain it has become low quality and boring(+ overpriced). Grouper replaced with mystery fish, wings blah.....This facility in particular could use some sprucing up.

Applebee is an American full-service restaurant brand popularly known for its signature Riblets. Applebee was conceptualized in 1980 by Bill and TJ Palmer in Atlanta, Georgia. At first, the restaurant was named T.J. Applebee's RX for Edibles and Elixirs. After the concept was acquired by W.R. Grace and Company, the restaurant was renamed as Applebee's Neighborhood Grill & Bar. Later the company and the Applebee's concept changed hands with Abe Gustin and John Hamra who started the first Applebee's franchise restaurant in Kansas City.

Later in 2007, IHOP Corp. now known as DineEquity, Inc. acquired Applebee's and began their journey together to make Applebee's the world's largest full-service restaurant chain.
